The end of season awards presentation took place last Friday 27th May 2005 at the Blue Mountain Golf Club in Binfield. Close to 500 players and family members enjoyed the ceremony and the disco afterwards.

It was a great weekend with all the games being played in a very good spirit. Credit to all the teams that took part and very well done to the teams that picked up Honours.

Six-a-side Tournament Now Full

This years Six-a-side Tournament is now completely fully subscribed. We look forward to seeing the teams that have entered.

A reminder of the dates:
Saturday 2nd April 2005 - Under 9s a.m. & Under 10s p.m
Sunday 3rd April 2005 - Under 11s a.m. & Under 12s p.m.
Sunday 10th April 2005 - Under 7s a.m. & Under 8s p.m.

Supporters 7-a-side Tournament 19th March 2005

12 adult supporters teams, including two consisting of ladies only, made-up of family members of the Cavaliers under 7s to under 15s teams, will be playing in the 7-a-side tournament. It will take place on Saturday 19th March 2005 at 13:30 at St. Sebastian's. The competition will consist of two qualifying leagues of six teams. The results of these leagues will determine the teams to go through to the semi-finals.

This promises to be great entertainment and will raise funds for the club. The clubhouse will be open and will be selling hot food, drinks and sweets.

Under 15s Win League

The Bracknell Cavaliers Under 15s are champions of the North Hants Division 2. After winning a nail biting, end-to-end match, 6 - 5 against Rushmoor Community at St. Sebastianís last Sunday, they can not be caught by any of the other teams in the Division. Well done to all the boys.

Cavaliers awarded a Football Foundation grant

The Football Foundation is a partnership funded by the FA Premier League, The FA and the Government. The Foundation is the UKís largest sports charity. The Cavaliers will use the money to purchase football equipment that will benefit all the clubs teams.

Under 11s Win Tournament

The Under 11s (2004 - 05 season) won the Sandhurst Town FC Pre-Season Friendly Tournament on Saturday 28th August 2004. With seven teams taking part on a league basis, the Cavaliers scored nine goals and conceded only one. They won five games and drew one. Goals were scored by Rob Dunbar (5), Jaz Brewster (3) and Matthew Rimmer (1) on loan from the under 10s. Well done to all the boys and girls, who all played very well.

Under 10s Win Tournament

The Under 10s (2004 - 05 season) have won the Frogmore School Tounament. The friendly event took part on Saturday 3rd July and was organised by Derby Green FC. Well done to all the boys, who without exception played very well.

Cavaliers gain FA Charter Standard

In April 2004 the Bracknell Cavaliers were awarded the FA Charter Standard.

The Football Association Charter Standard Clubs programme was launched in February 2001 and is a core component of the FA Football Development programme. The project is aimed at boys and girls under sixteen years old and will help children and parents find a club in there local area that meets FA Standards for coaching, administration and child protection.

To reach Charter Standard clubs must have:

  • A written constitution.
  • Self-certified screening of manages, coaches and officials.
  • All managers to obtain at least FA level one coaching certificate.
  • Commitment to attend in-service training.
  • Acceptance and promotion of codes of conduct.
  • Commitment to provide mini-soccer.
  • Commitment to promote schools liaison and equal opportunities.

    Six-a-side tournaments a great success

    The Bracknell Cavaliers annual six-a-side tournaments were as popular as ever. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part. The weather held for all the age groups except the under 10s on Sunday afternoon. It rained hard constantly for the all the matches, but none of the players let it spoil the fun.

    New Constitution Released

    The Bracknell Cavaliers FC Constitution has been updated with minor changes and is available online or for download from here. Everyone who is associated with the club should read it, including players and parents.

    Christmas Party

    The Christmas party was a great success, over 45 players from the under 6s to under 9s enjoyed fun and games. Father Christmas did find time to visit and gave out gifts to everyone.

    Father Christmas will be visiting the under 6s to 9s at the Bracknell Cavaliers FC Christmas party. All registered players are invited and it will only cost £1.00. Included will be fun and games as well as party food and drink. It will start at 2:00pm on Saturday 13th December 2003, at the St. Sebastian's Club House.
